15.10.26 - Gingerbread is here! Pepsi brings festive flavour to convenience, with £1,000 up for grabs

Pepsi is kicking off the festive season by bringing back Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread flavour into the convenience and wholesale channels.

Back by popular demand following last year’s limited-edition run, the festive favourite is helping retailers tap into the key Christmas period by bringing together two much loved flavours, Pepsi and Gingerbread, in an exciting limited-edition flavour.

Christmas is a key sales period for Pepsi and its flavour portfolio with eight million light cola buyers[1] coming into the cola category for the festive quarter.  Limited-edition flavours provide an additional reason to buy, with Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread Flavour generating 63% of its volume sales incremental to the Pepsi range[2]. With the flavour now expanding into convenience, retailers have an opportunity to capitalise with an elevated seasonal option, with the innovation combining Pepsi Zero Sugar with warming ginger, cinnamon and vanilla notes synonymous with Christmas.

To mark its introduction into the convenience channel, Pepsi is giving retailers the chance to win £1,000 towards a Christmas party*, helping those bringing Pepsi to shoppers celebrate the festive season themselves. To enter, retailers simply need to pre-order Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread or Pepsi MAX® seasonal Point Of Sale (POS) materials from Carlsberg Britvic’s At Your Convenience platform and fill out a short form for the chance to win. What’s more, two runners-up will each receive a Pepsi-branded Christmas jumper to keep or give away to a lucky shopper, alongside one case each of Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread, Pepsi MAX® and Pepsi MAX® Cherry, Lime and Tropical stock to help boost festive sales.

David Laidler, Brand Director of Carbonates at Carlsberg Britvic, said: “After the popularity of Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread last year, we knew we had to bring it back even bigger, making it available to more shoppers by expanding into convenience stores. We know there is a real demand for new flavours, seasonal treats and affordable indulgence, so its expansion into convenience gives retailers an opportunity to create some festive cheer in-store and encourage shoppers to pick up a can or bottle over the Christmas season.

“We understand what a busy time Christmas can be for our customers, so as well as the limited-edition flavour, we wanted to celebrate them. We hope that our competition also brings some extra festive cheer to the people working hard behind the scenes.”

Available from 1 October until the end of December 2026, Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread flavour will roll out across all retail channels in 500ml (RRP £2.15), and eight-can multipacks (RRP £6.89). These packs are perfectly placed to help drive trial and attract light shoppers. The launch will be supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign spanning shopper, social, digital and earned media, alongside in-store activation and sampling. Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread flavour will also be available at the O2, the UKs most iconic music venue, with a bespoke serve at our brand new Pepsi Bar.

Alongside the seasonal launch, Pepsi is continuing to strengthen its wider take-home range, with Pepsi MAX® and Pepsi MAX® Cherry transitioning into eight-can price-marked multipacks in time for the festive season.
