This Spring, Tango is turning up the intensity with the launch of Tango Sours – a bold new zero-sugar range in two mouthwatering flavours – Watermelon and Tropical.

Delivering refreshment with a sour twist, the campaign is championed by the tagline ‘Brace yourself, it Tangs back’ – appealing to younger consumers looking for more adventurous taste sensations.

With the range including familiar well-loved flavours such as tropical, already a popular soft drinks flavour in the UK1, and a bold new addition – Watermelon, Tango Sours is perfectly placed to win over a generation hungry for excitement with every sip. The range’s bright, distinctive packaging matches Tango’s new visual identity, revealed in January, which is designed to recruit shoppers and drive stronger appeal, particularly among Gen Z consumers.

David Laidler, Brand Director of Carbonates at Carlsberg Britvic said: “Tango has always been known for its bold personality – and we’re dialling that up with this latest launch. When we developed Tango Sours, we wanted a drink range that delivered on both standout visuals and intense flavour. With its striking design and punchy sour hit, the range is built to disrupt the fixture and command real attention on shelf.”

"It’s already shaping up to be a hugely exciting year for Tango. Following the launches of our new visual identity and Tango Thirst Trap, and continued investment in the retail sector, we’re building real momentum.”

Tango continues to demonstrate its category leadership, having generated more value sales than any other flavoured carbonate brand from new product launches over the last three years2. Hitting shelves and chillers from March, Tango Sours will offer retailers an opportunity to tap into the buzz around the iconic brand and spark excitement among shoppers ready for a drink that Tangs back.

Tango Sours will be available across two key pack formats: 4x 330ml multipack (£4.09 RRP) and 1.5 litre bottles (£3.35 RRP) this month, with 500ml bottles (£2.39 RRP) joining the line-up from May. The launch will be supported by a social media campaign, as well as in-store and in-depot activations.
